Every album JCA expands is vast palate of talent. He has a rare ability to touch on real feelings and emotions everyone feels and makes you believe the words he’s singing with his hushed vocals. Sonic texture wise he has always experimented album to album. With this one he recorded it in various rooms along his journey from place to place. I feel this one is a bit better straight through then his last one. My favorite of his will always be Coyote but all of his albums are great. Yimmy Kil

Absolutely one of the most gifted songwriters and musicians alive right now. I cannot say enough about every single album he’s ever made. He discusses the intricacies of human emotion so well. Being a compassionate artist who has lived some days and seen some things adds to his ability to write such powerful meaningful songs that often pull at heartstrings & make you feel something real every time you listen to his music. I listen to tons of artists ranging many genres & he is 1 of the bes Yimmy Kil

All of JCA’s albums are true gems with so much honesty and heartfelt emotion. He is a lyricist who puts all his cards on the table in his songs. There is such a tender delicate atmosphere he creates with his instrumentation it begs the listener to really listen to the words in the songs. Honestly there are not many I could put above him In music. I love all the songs so real so good but my favorite is Typeface In Bold. What’s even better JCA is a genuinely nice guy too. Yimmy Kil

Heard this on WNCW today and listened on repeat all day. Had to buy the vinyl and show my support. This is gonna be my summer 2020 album and I’m perfectly fine with that. Great work and look forward to the streams later this month. Find the podcast from Southern Songs & Stories about the band and album. mrsoulmarkj
