There’s a fog that never fades away
And the sky, it grows darker by the day
There’s a poison in the land
It'll convince you that you're damned
Make you so weak that you can’t stand
All the things we learned when we were kids
Were only meant to keep the darkness hid
But something deep inside you saw
A light that lives beyond the law
And that the truth is wild and raw
As the promise of the future starts to fade
All the ties that bound us up have been so frayed
Everybody’s feeling angry and afraid
It's what we've lost
There’s a deadness in my neighbors’ eyes
But it hides a spark that never truly dies
There is music on the wind
I hear it in the voices of my friends
One day this dark is gonna end
As the promise of the future starts to fade
All the ties that bound us up have been so frayed
Everybody’s feeling angry and afraid
It's what we've lost
Now our tattered banner’s flapping in the wind
And we’re paying up for centuries of sins
And all our hated enemies were once our friends
It's what we've lost

Absolutely one of the most gifted songwriters and musicians alive right now. I cannot say enough about every single album he’s ever made. He discusses the intricacies of human emotion so well. Being a compassionate artist who has lived some days and seen some things adds to his ability to write such powerful meaningful songs that often pull at heartstrings & make you feel something real every time you listen to his music. I listen to tons of artists ranging many genres & he is 1 of the bes Yimmy Kil

Each year the same story: My wife (handmade pop music) and I (black metal maniac) go on holiday. We need some "soft" but honest music for long car drives. It is a tough week in advance to dive deeply into musical scrap to find some pearls like MARGO PRICE! She presents easy going country pop, smooth and with pleasant vocals, reminding me sometimes even at Stevie Nicks. The title track is one of my favourites, but also the other songs are catchy and performed with smooth energy, H.L.

An album that gets better with every listen. It was already in my top 10 of the year, but it just keeps pushing higher. Lydia Loveless is so damn underrated. William Boyle
